First Blog entry my names LG
for those who neva met me
Woke up this morning body in pain
got some food, my crossaint was plain
walked about a mile to get to class on time
heard of the boys commit'n cabinal crimes
Learned a lil dance smooth and fun
looked at my watch, to lunch we had to run
walked about a mile to get food on time
walked about 1/2 a mile to get some pool time
went to the club house took a lil nap
woke up late , had to jam Fast!
To the cypher, lights all low
music is pumping and faces are a glow
cuz they gett'N filmed and they gone make it!
Kross playing beats like funk you can't fake it-
it took me a while to get into da grove-
Heard some sick beats made my body wana move
Then Scotty boy sent out a shout
if you all hungry get dat pizza in your mouth
we all rushed Grims who was packin pizza
only gave us one slice, then he gave us another slice
I smiled real big thinking he would be nice
and hook me up with just one more slice!
He opened up the box said "Don't ask me twice"
cuz all these other riders need more than a beat to survive
they need at least one slice with meat and red bull on the side!

I wanted to say thank you to Fabel for his lecture on Fashion. We got to see some original styles from back in the day and see how they have evolved.

Although I probably won't be bringing back the ruffled shirts that the bgirls used to rock, as I am sure the guys won't be bringing back the BVD's to wear outside..but I will always remember not to rock 1/2 of a suit because it makes it look like you didn't have enough dough to get the other 1/2. :)

It was crazy to see how things have changed and how styles have stuck around for certain things. I think that companies need to come out with more shoes that dance like a sneaker but look like a regular shoe so you can get in the clubs with your sneak-shoes :)

Thank you for a really great lecture and examples. And a big thank you to Fabel for hooking up my jacket that Totem from Burn Unit did a SICK piece on. It was a dope jacket already, but the arms were too tight so Fabel cut them off for me, now I am so excited because I can rock it old school and get down in it now that the arms aren't too tight. And it has some history! :)
